Through several projects, Ghent Dredging has acquired a reputation in dredging silt containing war ammunition.
Dredged material is spread onto a screen. Using water jets, soil is washed through the screen, leaving the ammunition behind.
An army disposal team, on site throughout the operation, disarms the ammunition in accordance with regulations.
