Ghent Dredging owns a powerful barge-unloading dredger to pump dredged material (sand and silt) ashore. Towed and self-propelled barges are being discharged by the dredger and the spoil pumped into a fill area through a 400mm dia. pipeline. If required, water used to transport material can be re-used within a closed-water circuit.
